Detective Jake Gilford doesn’t believe in ghosts so he’s skeptical when Joss Wheeler informs him she believes her house to be haunted. This is a great little story and it managed to pull me in despite the fact I had not read the previous chapters. I’m not real sure what the overall plot is coming into it cold like I did but I’m sensing more than just a haunted house here. I like the way the characters interact and I can’t wait for more.
I recommend this book (and going back to get the first 3 chapters as well) if you like fun contemporary paranormal stories with some spice to them. I will be getting the others in the series so I can find out what happens next.
