Craig and Wayne are partners in the Toronto police force so when they find themselves attracted to each other they know first hand that if they are ever caught they can be arrested, lose their careers and even worse they can be jailed. However after their first kiss they are not prepared to stop so Craig comes up with a way to protect their reputations and their affair.
The year is 1950 it’s not only taboo for two males to be together it’s also illegal and a jail able offense so how do two cops get around the law they are arresting others for breaking? Simple one of them gets married and they use the wife defense to camouflage their affair.
Craig first meets Tracy when he recues her from Vinnie a vicious pimp. He meets her again when she shows up at the station asking to spend a night in jail as she’s become homeless. He ends up renting her a room. Later he marries her to help camouflage his affair with his partner Wayne.
Craig really comes across as someone that is out to protect his reputation at all costs. He wants his cake and he wants to eat it too. He seems to control everything around him including Wayne and Tracy. After nearly losing Tracy he realizes that he does care for her she’s more than just a convenience and he sets about trying to get Tracy and Wayne together so that he can have them both at the same time.
Wayne for the most part usually goes along with anything Craig suggests so he’s not really against the idea of a threesome his only real stipulation is that he still wants his alone time with Craig.
Tracy will do anything for Craig as she’s scared of losing him to Wayne so when he suggests a ménage a trios she agrees.
I really doubt any of them realize that everything will change between them and I don’t want to give away too much but I can say the ending will have you saying ooooohhhh never saw that coming.
Ms Blair does a great job of leading you one way then has your jaw dropping at the end when your left wondering where did that come from how did I miss that? My only complaint is I felt it could have been longer as there were more than enough trails that could have been explored a little more.
