Max wants to come out to his parents. However, he would like some help when he does. So he turns to his older brother’s best friend, Daniel, who he over-heard his parents saying was gay. Of course, that’s just what he tells Daniel. What he really wants is for Daniel to be his first time. What he really wants, is Daniel, period. Daniel has always thought of Max as a younger brother, feeling like he had to step in to be what was needed after his best friend dies. Now, this very attractive young man who admits he’s gay, is coming on to him. He really shouldn’t touch him, but a guy only has so much resistance.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I’d thought I would. It had a tried and true premise, younger brother with crush on older brother’s best friend. It has been used as a plot line many times before, but I don’t have a problem with that. What I had a problem with, is that it seemed the author tried to make this story too complicated for a short story. There were too many strings from the past, the deceased brother, tangling things up in the present. It made things less enjoyable for me. I did think the sex was hot, and I liked the resolution with the parents and the ending. It just seemed the story was trying too hard.
